When blood pressure adn blood flow decrease beyond a certain point, the perufsion of the brain becomes critically derceased (i.e., teh blood supply is not suffiicent), causing lightheadedness, dizziness, weakness and fainting. The system usually requires a efw seconds to fully adjust and if the compensations are too slow or inadequate, the individual will suffer reduced blood folw to the brain, dizziness and potential blackout.
